Mumbai (20th December, 2009): James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ is already raking in accolades worldwide for its spectacular visual effects and the emotional connect.
The film, due to release this Friday (Dec 18) has already won 4 nominations for the Golden Globe awards, in the following 4 categories:
§ Best Motion Picture – Drama
§ Best Director — Motion Picture
§ Best Original Score - Motion Picture
§ Best Original Song - Motion Picture
Produced by 20th Century Fox, ‘Avatar’ is a an epic action adventure. The film was first conceived by Cameron 14 years ago, when the means to realize his vision did not yet exist.
Starring Sam Worthington, Siqourney Weaver & Zoe Saldana, ‘Avatar’ is the story of a wounded ex-marine, thrust unwillingly into an effort to settle and exploit an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, who eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival.
Cameron again combines elements of massive spectacle and intimate character to tell a relatable and emotional tale.
Avatar releases worldwide on Dec 18 in 2D as well as 3D. In India, the film will be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil & Telegu
