14th March, 2009:Every actress of the Hindi film industry loves to essay the role of the great gorgeous actress of the yesteryears Madhubala. Now this opportunity knocks at Kangana Ranaut’s doors, who seems excited for this. ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’ is the film in which Kangana would be portraying the role of Madhubala.

This movie could appear as a magnum opus for Kangana, as she is to play the veteran actress. Madhubala (the late actress) was the love interest of the underworld don on 1960’s Haji Mastan. The flick revolves around the real story of this underworld don.

‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’ is the production of Ekta Kapoor (Balaji Telefilms Ltd). Milan Luthria is the director of this enterprise. Milan had earlier considered the milky beauty Katrina Kaif and the sultry Priyanka Chopra for this power packed role. But finally zeroed in Kangana.

A close source revealed, “Kangana’s selection is a good thing as although Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi were on board, the producers couldn’t shoot for a long time because Luthria was unable to select an actress. Only recently did Luthria and Ekta settle on Kangana.”

Since the cast in place now, the film will hit the floors in April and the shooting will be done across Mumbai. We have witnessed a number of flicks on Haji Mustan. And one of them was Amitabh Bachchan starrer, ‘Deewar’. But this film will be different from the past ones, why because it features the romantic side of the don with his love interest Madhubala.

Ofcourse, now you folks must be curious to know about how’s playing Haji Mustan in the film. Well, we are here to give your fuller updates. He is none other than Ajay Devgan, who is playing Haji Mustan and Emraan Hashmi (the serial kisser) to enact young Dawood in the movie.

Undoubtedly, the film apparently looks a hit…. yes, it could be provided that it is made aptly.
