MUMBAI (06th April, 2008): Prithvi Soni paid tribute to his friend of many decades, Showman Subhash Ghai with his works that transcended time at Art Desh Art Gallery. With an array of his works that transcended decades and discovered not just the looks and the feel of Ghai’s films, Soni also captured the different looks of Ghai’s myriad stars at their colourful best.
Other than the works of Ghai, Indian old men whose grey beards spoke of their wizened experience, matched the master to his very strokes.
No wonder then that besides actors Kapil Khadiwala, Aanjjann Srivastava and Vikrant Chaturvedi, artistes of the likes of Kiran Chopra, Vipta Kapadia, Amisha Mehta, Gautam Patole, art curator Bharatbhai and Yash Kohli, Gary Richardson, Homring Gachuioo, Kavita Soni, Marcia Jose, Pooja Mishra, among others graced the exhibition.

Ghai was emotional. “I have been associated with Prithvi Soni for the last so many years,” said Ghai. “When he wants me to be there, I will be there for him.”
Prithvi Soni acknowledged that Ghai has been a “guiding light” to him. “There is so much I have learnt as we both worked together these decades,” expressed Soni who gifted Ghai a special work that encompassed Black and White and the current Yuvraj. At the exhibition, as both the friends came together, even time stood still for a while.
